HCI Design Sprint 2: Coal vs. Geothermal: Who's up in smoke?

September 27, 2017

For our second design sprint for my Human-Computer Interaction course, our task was to 'Design for Understanding'.

Our team of four was split up into two groups, one group had to design simple, clear and understandable visual representations of a chosen dataset and the other group had to tell a story from the same dataset using a creative visualization.

Our chosen dataset: Coal consumption vs. Geothermal consumption in Pennsylvania

We used tools like p5.js (a javascript library) and Vega for our visualizations. Read more about our design process on our medium blog post here
